What We Need to Complete an Immigration Credential Evaluation
To prepare an academic credential evaluation for U.S. immigration purposes, we generally need clear scans of the applicant’s educational documents, including:
A scan of the diploma, degree certificate, or graduation certificate
A scan of the academic transcripts, marksheets, grade reports, or academic records
A copy of the applicant’s passport or photo ID (or, at a minimum, their date of birth)
Certified English translations for any academic documents not issued in English
Certified translations are important because foreign-language documents submitted in immigration matters must be accompanied by complete and accurate English translations. If certified translations are already available, they can be included with the request. If translations are still needed, IEE can prepare them in-house for an additional cost, allowing you to keep the evaluation and translation process in one place.

3. Illegible or Cropped Scans
Blurry, cropped, dark, or incomplete scans can slow down the process. Clear scans of all pages help prevent unnecessary follow-up and allow the evaluation to move forward more quickly.
4. Missing Applicant Identifying Information
Providing the applicant’s date of birth or a copy of the applicant’s passport or photo ID helps confirm the identity of the individual whose records are being evaluated and reduces the risk of mismatched or incomplete case information.
