IEE GlobalBridge™ is a comprehensive screening service for healthcare professionals (RN, LPN/LVN) seeking an occupational visa from the federal government to work in the United States. Applicants who successfully complete IEE GlobalBridge™ receive an official Health Care Worker (HCW) Certificate. The IEE GlobalBridge™ program includes an education analysis, licensure/registration validation, an English language competency evaluation, and a professional license examination. In the case of registered nurses this licensing exam could be either the NCLEX® – RN or the CGFNS Qualifying Exam. Licensed Practical/Vocational nurses are required to pass the NCLEX® – PN to receive the HCW certificate.
Includes State Board of Nursing Licensure Evaluation
To begin, nurses start by submitting an online application with their education, professional registration/licensure information, licensure examination results, and English proficiency.
Once document verification is completed, the Health Care Worker certificate is issued within 10 business days.
An online application is completed and the nurse requests their transcript and nursing school information from their university. Additionally, the nurse requests verification of their professional license from any international nursing registration agency. The application will provide IEE with information to validate the nurse’s NCLEX® and English language proficiency (if applicable) exam results. Upon completion of the IEE review, an HCW certificate will be issued with the appropriate results.
IEE has over 42 years experience in credential reviews. The nursing division at IEE is led by a registered nurse with education and experience in nursing. The process of providing the HCW certificate is provided with high quality through a review by an experienced nurse. The turn-around time for the report is the fastest in the industry at 10 days upon verification of original documents.

If your original certificate expires before admission to the U.S., a renewal will need to be requested (fee required). IEE will update licensure information to determine if any adverse or disciplinary actions have occurred, and there will be a need to re-establish English competency. Educational credentials will not need re-evaluation (see IEE policy on Certificate Renewal).
To work in the United States (U.S.) as a non-citizen, a nurse must have an evaluation of their credentials. The U.S. government has approved IEE to provide the credential evaluation. Upon completion, the nurse will receive a certification letter, which can then be used to complete the immigration process. The certificate is not a guarantee of immigration but will be used as a component in the decision-making by the U.S. government. (Section 343 of the Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act of 1996 (the IIRIRA) requires health care professionals to complete a screening program before they can receive either a permanent or temporary occupational visa, including Trade NAFTA status).
IEE will accept a completed credential evaluation from CGFNS or JS&A. We will need to receive the official report direct from either of those organizations.
